About Company

Company POLL, s.r.o. has been operating in the market since 1996. Its main activities include development and production of electronic systems for applications in power electronics and other areas of heavy-current electro-engineering.

The company provides regulators for traction drive power converters, including application specific software. Furthermore, the company maintains its focus on development and production of dedicated electronic appliances - subdeliveries complying with customer's specifications.

In 1998 - 1999 a project of diesel-electric shunt locomotive equipped with asynchronous traction engines (manufac-tured by CKD Dopravni systemy a.s.) was realized - entire drive regulator delivery accomplished. In the area of traction drives, we have been co-operating with company Cegelec a.s. (formerly ALSTOM Industry a.s.) since 1999. We deliver regulators for traction converters TV Progress and a TV Europulse for trams and trolleybuses.

Since 2002, in co-operation with company POLOVODICE a.s., we have been realizing AC electric suburban unit series 560 CD (Czech Railways) modernization, where a pulse rectifier using IGCT thyristors is implemented for the first time in an operating railway vehicle in Czech Republic.
